The knife has a tortoiseshell handle and is inlaid with abalone grapes and leaves on a silver wire. There is an engraved solid silver spine along the edge of the piece. Description

The knife has a tortoiseshell handle and is inlaid with abalone grapes and leaves on a silver wire.

There is an engraved solid silver spine along the edge of the piece.

Hallmarked for Birmingham 1868 and made by Hilliard and Thompson.

Length open is 4.8 inches.

Condition: Good.  There is one small piece of silver wire missing, and one grape as well. There is no spring to the blade. The blade wiggles a bit when fully extended.
