The knife has a Mother of pearl handle which has a silver cap at the top and bottom. The handle is engraved with crest of a horse on it.

The Berge Knife comprises of a silver and steel blade which work off the same rivet. The Berge Knife was invented in France and was being copied over in England.

There is a silver and steel blade. The steel blade is stamped with the makers name “Thornhill New Bond Street, London”

The silver blade is hallmarked for London 1871 and made by Thomas Johnson.

Length open is 6.9 inches.

Condition:  There is a crack on the front and reverse of the handle.
